POV Ray Macros & Objects

I've put some of my Macros and Objects togethir in one place so that visitors can pick and chose rather than have to download the whole source for an image and then find the particular object or macro that they want within the source.

It's fairly basic stuff but you might find it useful. I've tried to keep the macros simple so that you can see how they work and maybe improve on them or write your own macros in POV. The macros have a brief description or tutorial with them in the form of an html or ASCII document with accompanying images and examples.

You can download the whole collection in one zip file allstuff.zip (213k) if you prefer, or select individual items from the choies below.

If there are any problems with any of the macros or objects on this page please email me with the relevant details.

Come back soon, I'll be adding items as quick as I can.

A Traffic lights macro example.

The traffic lights macro has many built in capabilities such as road and level crossing designs, illumination options, different pole types and hights, permits the use of secondary textures. For more comprehensive information read trafficlights.txt which is contained in the zip file. The POV file used to create this image is also included.

Latticework example.

The Latticework macro can produce 31 different designs and with three different cross types and can apply the texture at three different levels all within the macro so that you can have as many different types of latticework in one scene as you like. Download lattice.zip (107k) and read the html doc within for examples and explanations.

A Pumpkin.inc example.

I used a pumpkin in my Bump In The Night image, it took quite a while to get it just the way I wanted it, so I thought I'd make the object available here.

A screwdriver.obj example.

The screwdriver.obj file produces a screwdriver whic has text on both sides of the handel on the inside and text on one side on the outside, it has a phillips blade. Before using the object file be sure to read the READ.ME text file which is included in the zip, arial.ttf is also included.
